Bearing Test

Bearing Spalling Test System: The KSTM Hub and Wheel Bearing Test System is designed to reproduce the forces acting on wheel
bearings as seen in vehicles by controlling the magnitude of the cornering forces and radial forces. Provides both radial and axial loaded durability testing of hub bearings. The axial and radial load apply systems utilize hydraulic cylinders.
This machine is unique in that water, mud and other slurry mixtures can be sprayed on the bearing during testing. Additionally the test enclosure is thermally insulated for cold weather environmental testing.

Bearing Housing JIG
These stands are designed with the flexibility to meet a wide variety of component sizes by changing JIG.
Turbine engine oil is used to cool and lubricate the test bearings. The test bearings have an inner bore diameter of 25 mm.

The test rig consists of a test bearing supported on a shaft by two journal wave bearings and two thrust wave bearingsThe test bearing is loaded axially or radially with two hydraulic or pneumatic actuators. A 120 kW (160 HP) electric motor is used to drive the test system to maximum 21 000 rpm.

Features·  Axial load in both forward and reverse directions
·  Radial load ·  Guarding for rotating components
·  Vehicle rolling radius adjustment
·  Displacement measurement

Options·  Environmental Conditioning Unit -15°C to 150°C
·  Water and mud slurry spray
·  Cold water intrusion fixture

control system
maintains a constant force on each load apply system while rotating the test part at the desired test speed. The test is complete when either the test part fails or the required  umber of rotations is reached.
